Fannie appears with Joel and Matilda in the 1880 census, listed as age 11, but she does not appear with them in the 1870 census. So either her age was off by a little over a year and she was really only approaching 10, or she is not really their daughter. Marvin Nelson’s Grisso Family Album claimed that Joel and Matilda had no children.
