In 1920 he was listed in Murray Co., Minnesota, with his parents, as age 2/3, born Illinois Illinois Minnesota.
1930 census of Dane Co., Wisconsin, Pleasant Springs township, lists as residents of Martin Luther Children’s Home:
Sellers, Vincent, 10, b. Missouri U.S. U.S.; Goodwin, 9, b. Missouri U.S. U.S.
There is no other Vincent Sellers born ca 1919 in the 1920 census who does not appear with the same parents in 1930, and George’s other children were scattered around as if orphaned, so this is very likely to be George’s son. His oldest daughter Clytheria was living in St. Louis, Missouri with George’s sister Hester, so the birthplace of Missouri may be correct. On the other hand, Vincent’s birthplace was listed as Illinois in 1920, and the family was living in Minnesota at that time, so it may be that Minnesota was misrecorded as Missouri.
