These paper dolls are from Jack and Jill magazine, which was published monthly from 1938 through 1974. Jack and Jill often contained paper dolls in the centerfold, sometimes in a series with an accompanying story. In this series, the story takes the form of five letters from Linda about her trip west. (See link at the bottom of this page for more Jack and Jill paper dolls.) The original magazine pages are 6 5/8 inches wide by 10 inches tall, for a centerfold with dimensions 13 1/4 inches wide by 10 inches tall. I have provided the paper dolls in a double-page spread to fit on letter-sized paper in landscape orientation, and in single pages in portrait orientation. The double-page spread will thus print smaller than the originals, while the single pages will print slightly larger. The story pages and the centerfold paper dolls are also provided in two background colors: the natural cream color of the magazine paper for archival accuracy, and brightened to white to save ink when printing. (The single page portrait paper dolls in the right-hand column are presented only in this brightened version.)
