Costumes for

Lindy Lou 'n' Cindy Sue

These costume pages are in the original page layout, but not the original order. Rows alternate between the minimally cleaned scans (I evened out edge browning, scuffs and staples, but kept the original colors), and the brightened colors with a white background, so that you can more easily compare colors. (The natural page color is more for archival documentation, since it would waste ink to print, and not look as pretty.)
I've also sorted the pages to put the cover dresses together, the centerfold pages together, and the coat pages together.
When printed on letter sized paper, the clothes will fit the dolls from the original layout. They will be at about 78% of the size from the Merrill book. To create cuttable versions at the original size, use the versions from this page, where they have been separated out into more pages at a larger scale.

In 2008, the Robert Tonner Doll Company produced a line of 10 inch character dolls based on the faces and costumes from this book. The line was called Petite Filles, and the dolls were given the French names Mimi and Babette. (There were five hair colors, but only two names, with each doll coming in multiple color variations.) Not all the paper doll costumes were adapted. Babette also came in the Dutch dress from the E. A. Voss book Children Around the World, and Mimi in the Argentina dress from that book.
The Tonner company closed in 2019, and their web site was taken down even earlier, in 2017. The dolls and dresses sometimes show up, though, on eBay and the sites run by collectible doll stores. The best way to find them may be to search the web for "Tonner Petite Filles", "Tonner Babette" or "Tonner Mimi".
