These images were created by digitally "cutting out" the dolls and outfits and pasting them onto separate pages. They are sized so that if printed at 100% on letter-sized paper, the tallest doll, Jimmy Stewart, will be 7.35 inches tall. That is slightly larger than the 7.2 inches tall that his doll was on the original 1941 book. (Jimmy is only 5.3 inches tall on the reprint that I scanned, and only 4.25 inches on the letter-sized book cover from this site.) The font used for star names on the covers is Linotype's Coronet Bold, also used in the title above. Since Coronet has very thin horizontals which do not reproduce well at low resolution, I have captioned the dolls on the cutout pages with Brush Script, a heavier font with a similar feel.
