Madison Co., Indiana death register book H-12 lists on p. 6 the death of Jacob Huffman, age 80, in Jackson township on 3 Feb 1890.

Many families trees identify this Jacob Huffman, son of Philip and Mary, with the Jacob Huffman who married Eliza Shields in Clermont Co., Ohio in 1835, showing him as having two wives. But that Jacob and Eliza were still living in Clermont Co. in the 1850 and 1860 censuses, while this Jacob and Lucinda were already in Indiana.
