Notes for Catherine Frantz
Do not confuse this Catherine Frantz with her cousin of the same name, the daughter of Nicholas Frantz and Catherine Crist. Both were born in the same year in Botetourt Co., Virginia, and both were married in Clark Co., Ohio in 1840. But the other Catherine moved with her husband John L. Frantz to Wabash Co., Indiana, while this one stayed in Ohio and remarried to Daniel Neher after her first husband John Minnick/Minnich died. She then died herself, only one year after her second marriage, and Daniel remarried to Catherine Miller.
Notes for Daniel D. & Catherine (Family)
Marriage of Daniel Nehr to Catherine Frantz listed on page 15, Vol. 2, of Early Marriage Bonds of Ohio. Original record in Clark County Probate Court marriages Book 3, page 241.

Thomas Beardsley's submission on page 53 of Early Clark County Families, Vol. II, lists as a daughter of Michael Frantz: "Catherine, b 15 Nov 1822, d 19 Aug 1849, m 30 Jul 1848 Daniel Neher".

Page 21 of the Dore M. Frantz Burials1 document lists a Catherine (Miller) Neher, and identifies her as "wife of Daniel Neher, son of Henry and Susanna Neher". The entry gives her dates of birth and death as 13 Dec 1823-19 Aug 1849. Note that the death date is the same that Thomas Beardsley gives for Catherine Frantz who married Daniel Neher, but the birthdate is different. Dore Frantz appears to have combined the maiden name for Daniel’s second wife Catherine Miller with the death date for his first wife Catherine Frantz. I do not know where the 13 Dec 1823 date came from.
