Notes for David Shock
Stone in Pleasant Grove Cemetery, North Manchester, adjacent to his wife's, reads: David Shock, 21 Mar 1812, died 6 May 1888, 77y 1m 15d
Notes for Elizabeth Lemon
Lester Binnie, in his "Cemetery Records of Chester twp", lists the following in Pleasant Grove Cemetery: "Elizabeth Shock, wife of David, and Mother of: Rachel, Isaac, William, and Gideon Heeter, born 10 Sep 1810, died 16 Oct 1882, age 72-1-6 (She was Elizabeth Lemon, first married to George Heeter, who died in Ohio.)" Usually Binnie places his own notes in parentheses, but the part before that looks like a lot to put on a stone. Maybe her Heeter children wanted that put on her stone because otherwise there would be nothing to identify her as their mother, but maybe Binnie added it because of his interest in the Heeter family.

Montgomery Co. Marriage records list license issued May 25, 1849 for marriage of David Shook and Elizabeth Heeter (no return.)
