Notes for Ray Heeter
On their marriage license application (Bk 4, p. 169), the groom Ray Heeter lists his parents as Benj. F. Heeter & Alice Butterbaugh, and his birthdate as 2-3-1892, in Warsaw, IN. The bride Lavohn Spacy lists her parents as George Spacy & Agnes Rice, and her birthdate as 7-11-1893. The application states that the marriage will be on 5 Sep 1910. The returned license is filed separately, in Bk 16, p. 357. I did not consult it, so it is possible that the actual marriage date was later.

Wabash County History, Bicentennial Edition 1976, p. 404-405, has article on the George Spacy family, that includes the passages: "Lavohn married Ray Heeter and moved to Warsaw, where their two children, Stanton (deceased) and Vanice Baney, were born.... Lavohn died during the flu epidemic in 1918, age 25."

Stone in Pleasant Hill Cem., North Manchester, for: Ray Heeter 1892-1957 (He is buried next to his parents. No wife is with him. Lavohn was probably buried in Warsaw.)

The Social Security death index lists Ray Heeter, b. 3 Feb 1892, d. Dec 1957, SSN 322-05-5100 issued in Illinois, last residence unknown.
