Wabash County History, Bicentennial Edition 1976, p. 394-395, has article by Mary Louise Heeter Leckrone (d/o Earl & Glenna Heeter) on the Silas Heeter family, that reads in part: "John was a carpenter and lived in East Manchester with his wife Rhuea and children Ralph, Hilda, Edith, Velma, Edan, Colleen, and Harold." ("Edan" seems to be a typo for "Edna.")
