Preble Co. death records, Book 1, p. 41, lists Daniel J. Arnold, died 24 Apr 1874 at age 5 years, 7 months, 27 days (from which I have calculated a birthdate of 28 Aug 1868), born and died in Washington twp, Preble Co., cause of scalded. (Poor kid.)He is not listed in Binnie's The German Baptist Arnolds. I should check the 1870 census of Preble Co. for an Arnold family with a Daniel age 1 or 2.
