Notes for George M. Hall
His WWI draft registration card, issued in 1917/1918 (the images on Ancestry do not show the side of the card that has the date it was filed), says George M. Hall, (age field too overexposed to read), residence Hilda, Ky, born 8 Oct 1876, occupation farming, self-employed, nearest relative Linda Hall.

Known as "Little George", to distinguish him from his uncle George W. Hall and grandfather George M. Hall.

Social Security Death index lists George Hall, b. 8 Dec 1876, d. Oct 1971, SSN 406-50-7784 issued in KY, last residence in Morehead, KY.

Census
1900 census of Rowan Co., Morehead, enumerated June, lists as family #254:
George M. Hall, Oct 1872, age 28; Linda, June 1880, age 19; Lena, May 1900, age 1/12; Mary E., niece, Mar 1880, age 20. George & Linda married 1 year, 1 child, 1 living. All born in Kentucky.

Lena is probably the same person as the daughter Icie age 9 in 1910, since later records for Isa such as her marriage record (age 14 in Oct 1914) suggest that she was born in 1900.

Mary E. can't really be a niece of George, as his oldest brother was only 8 years old in 1880. (And if she were a niece of Malinda's, it is unlikely she would be named Hall.) Possibly she is a cousin. The only two Hall girl babies that I can find in the 1880 census (of Rowan, Morgan, Bath & Elliott counties) are Arminah, age 3/12, d/o John M. Hall (son of Isaac Sr.) & Susan Roberts, and Flora, also age 3/12, d/o Riley Hall (son of Clinton) & Angeline Carpenter.

1920 census of Rowan Co., Ky, Morehead precinct #1, lists on p. 5A as family #40:
Hall, G. M., 43, farmer; Linda, wife, 39; Denver, son, 7. Strangely, the birthplace of G. M. and both his parents is listed as Missouri, even though Denver’s entry says that his father was born in Kentucky.

1930 census of Rowan Co., Kentucky, Pine Grove precinct, enumerated 24 Apr, lists on p. 6B as family #246:
