Notes for Albert David Hall
His WWI draft registration card, issued in 1917/1918 (the images on Ancestry do not show the side of the card that has the date it was filed), says Albert Hall, age 45, residence Morehead, Ky, born 4 Nov 1872 in Rowan Co., Ky, occupation farmer, self-employed, nearest relative Martha B. Hall.

Phil McBrayer's notes, based mostly on interviews with his father and other relatives, lists four marriages for Albert D. Hall: Millie Prather, Billie McClain, Mary Clinkenbeard, and Rachel Sloan, the latter noted as "Brit Sloan's widow, Jack's mother". Rowan County marriage records list the marriage to Millie Prather, which was apparently very brief. Belle was the mother of all of his children; Albert’s obituary refers to her as “Martha McClain”, and also mentions Rachel Sloan. I’ve found no official record of Mary Clinkenbeard (other than the 1930 census), nor have I found a date for the marriage to Rachel Fultz Sloan. It may have been in Elliott Co.

His obituary in the Rowan County News of Thursday, July 31, 1958, read “Albert Hall, Native Citizen, Dies at Age 87 - Funeral services for a pioneer Rowan County citizen, Albert Hall, were conducted at 11 o’clock Monday morning at Lane Funeral Home with interment in Lee Cemetery. Mr. Hall, 87 years of age, lived his entire life in the county. He was born near Morehead Nov. 4, 1870, son of the late George and Susan Hall. He had hundreds of close and distant relatives living in Rowan County.

Mr. Hall married Martha McClain, who passed away in 1922. They were the parents of the following six surviving children: Leslie Hall, Parkersburg, W. Va.; Mrs. Emma McKinney, Bangor; Mrs. Susanna McGuire, Manito, Okla.; Harry Hall, Dayton, O.; Mrs. Carrie Royse, Urbana, O.; and Mrs. Hannah Royse, Morehead. After the death of his first wife, he married Rachael Sloan, who survives. Other immediate survivors are 20 grandchildren.

Mr. Hall was a member of the Christian Church. Funeral services were conducted by Reverends Luther Bradley and Ted Greene.”
Notes for Mary Bell Williams
There is a death certificate for Mary Bell Hall, age 69 years 11 mos 4 days, who died 14 Aug 1947 in Morehead, with a birthdate of 10 Oct 1877. It lists her husband’s name as Albert Hall, age 74, Morehead, her birthplace as Clay Co., Ky, her father’s name as Bill Williams, and her mother’s maiden name as unknown. Cause of death was coronary thrombosis, and the informant Albert Hall.

I cannot find any other Albert Hall in the Rowan Co. area in the 1930 census, and the age fits for Albert, so that death record may be for this wife. Clinkenbeard may have been the name of a previous husband. But the 1930 census listed the age of Albert’s wife as 46 (in April), which would imply a birthdate in 1883 or 1884. So perhaps Albert had five wives instead of four.
Census Notes for Albert David & Mary Bell (Family)
1930 census of Rowan Co., Ky, Morehead part 3, enumerated 4 Apr, lists on p. 11B as family #20:
Hall, Albert, 53, house carpenter, age at first marriage 46; Mary, wife, 46, age at first marriage 43, both born Ky Ky Ky. (The ‘age at first marriage’ is obviously wrong for Albert, but it doesn’t seem to work out for the years to represent age at this marriage either.)

1940 census of Rowan Co., Ky, ED 103-3, enumerated 10 April, lists on p. 6A as family #89, on Flemingsburg Rd:
