Widow pension application of 4 Jun 1878 states he died at French Grant, Scioto Co., Ohio. Widow is Nancy Van Horn. Enlisted in War of 1812 at the age of 13 or 14 at Greenupsburgh, KY. He served from 6 Sep 1814 to 31 Mar 1815 and was discharged at or near Sandusky, Ohio. He was a musician in the 28th Regiment. Nancy states that since Benjamin's discharge, they resided in Vanceburg, KY, Cincinnatti, OH, Adams, Scioto, and Lawrence Counties, Ohio. Nancy Van Horn had been previously married to Benjamin Van Horn.
