Social Security Death index lists Jesse Dehart, born 22 Aug 1902, died Aug 1982, SSN issued in KY, last residence in Morehead, KY.

His obituary, from Jean Burchett's collection, reads: "Jesse Lee DeHart, 79, died Aug 20, 1982, in Morehead. He was the son of the late William Paul Dehart & Susan Jones. Survivors include brothers Ora Dehart, Morehead, Boone Dehart, Muncie, IN, sister Mrs. Rose White, Muncie, IN, daughters Mrs. Chelma Hall & Mrs. Edna Hinton, of Morehead, and sons Roy, Eddie, Garrit, Harlan, Wayne, William, & Coy, all of Morehead."

The name of Jesse’s oldest son was really Glennis Ray, not Roy, according to both Jesse’s brother Ora (when interviewed in 1993), and Ray’s daughter Teresa (in email from 2013.)

The Kentucky birth index lists Nellie Trent, born 7 Oct 1927 in Rowan Co., mother’s maiden name Editha Mathews.

Her obituary reported:

“Nellie Mae Trent DeHart, 73, of Morehead, died Sunday in St. Claire Medical Center in Morehead.

Mrs. DeHart was born Oct 7, 1927, in Rowan County, a daughter of the late Jason & Edith Matthews Trent. She was preceded in death by her husband Jesse Lee DeHart in 1982; and a son, Harlan V. DeHart. She was a member of Church of God.

Surviving are six sons, Ray; Edward; Garrit; Wayne; Paul; and Coy DeHart, all of Morehead. Two daughters, Chelma Hall of Morehead and Edna Hinton of Raleigh, NC. Four brothers, Vernon Trent, Vercil Trent, Virda Trent and Ivan
Trent, ll of Morehead. Six sisters Clona Mikkelson of Antigo, WI; Zona Black, Reba Jones and Hazel Brown, all of Morehead; Christine Parson of Elliott County & Jewell Jarrels of Detroit, MI.; 19 grandchildren; 4 step-grandchildren; and 13 g-grandchildren.

The funeral will be held at 1:00 pm Tuesday at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals in Morehead by the Rev. Max Molihan. Burial will be in the Mabry Cemetery in Elliott Co. Friends may call after 6:00 pm today at the furneral
home.”
