Her death certificate records Elizabeth Stamper, age 71 years 1 month 24 days, born 29 Feb 1856 in Ky, died 24 April 1927 in Farmers, Rowan Co., Ky, widowed, father Harm Lee, mother’s maiden name Catherine Jackson, both born in Ky, cause of death diabetes, infomant R. F. Stamper, Farmers, Ky, burial in Lee Cemetery.

The reported date of birth is inconsistent with the census record, where she was listed as 9 in 1860 and 18 in 1870. The informant was also uncertain; the date appears to have been originally entered as Feb 30, 1855 and her age as 72, and then overwritten with 71 and Feb 29 after someone realized that Feb 1855 had only 28 days. It is highly unlikely that a 4-year-old would be reported as age 9, so it is most likely that she was born in the previous leap year, 1852.

I cannot find this family in the 1880 census.
