Census Notes for Perry Johnson & Samaria Catherine (Family)
1900 census of Klickitat Co., Washington, Camas Prairie precinct, enumerated 25 June, lists on p. 10B as family #219:
Quesinberry, Perry J., 33, b. Mar 1867, farmer; Samaria C., wife, 29, b. Aug 1870, married 12 years, mother of 5 children, 5 living; Denny S., son, 10, b. Dec 1889; Gracie L., dau, 7, b. June 1892; Rush J., son, 5, b. Nov 1894; Olga T., son, 3, b. June 1896; Bryan F., son, 2, b. Dec 1897. The two youngest born Wash Va Va, all others Va Va Va.

The son Olga should be a daughter. Many of the birth dates are inconsistent with other records.

1910 census of Yakima Co., Washington, Outlook precinct, enumerated 23 April, lists on p. 4A as family #59:
Quesnbry (?), Perry J., 43, farmer, Samaria, wife, 39, first marriage for both, married 22 years, mother of 7 children, 7 living; Rush J., son, 17; OIga T., dau, 15; Bryan F., son, 14; Earley E., son, 9; Posey B., son, 7. Perry through Rush born Va Va Va, Olga through Posey born Wash Va Va.

(The handwriting is too poor to tell how the family’s surname was entered; most letters with no ascenders or descenders just look like bumps. Ancestry indexed it with several variants, all wrong - Quimby, Gurmbry, Tuesnburg, and Greenberg. What it looks most like to me is Qurmbuy.)

Notice that Rush, Olga and Bryan are all recorded as two years older than implied by the 1900 census. If they are older, then Grace must be as well, to avoid conflictiing with the birth date for Rush.

1920 census of Yakima Co., Washington, Outlook precinct, enumerated 19 Jan, lists on p. 7B as family #134:
Quesenbery, Perry J., 52, widowed, b. Va Va Va, farmer; Early, son, 19, b. Wash Va Va, farm laborer home farm; Posey, son, 16, b. Wash Va Va, farm laborer home farm. Stewart, Edward, servant, 23, single, b. Ill Ill Ill, farm laborer work out.
