His WWI draft registration card, issued in 1917/1918 (the images on Ancestry do not show the side of the card that has the date it was filed), says James William Hall, age 35, residence Eadston, Ky, born 16 Mar 1883, occupation team driver, self-employed, nearest relative Chleu Hall, wife.
Notes for Chloe Jane Haney
Her obituary read “Chloe Hall, 78, a native of Rowan County, died Saturday in Shirley, Indiana. A daughter of the late Pascell and Pheba Ingram Haney, she was born June 1st, 1886. Mrs. Hall had been a member of the Primitive Baptist Church 50 years. Died August 15, 1964. Her husband, James W. Hall, preceded her in death. Surviving are these children: Floyd Hall, Morehead; Arthur Hall and Mrs. Lillian Hall, both of Shirley; Earl Hall, Chicago; Woodrow Hall, Clearfield; Ben Hall, Dublin, Ind.; Mrs. Daisy Crabtree, Columbus, O.; Mrs. Carey Harmon, Williamson, W. Va.; Mrs. Mary Coleman, Muncie, Ind.; and Mrs. Olive Thompson, Kennard, Indiana. A sister, Mrs. Luttie Steagall of Potomac, Ill., also survives. Funeral services were held Tuesday in the Clearfield Tabernacle with Rev. Lindsay Caudill and Rev. Blanchard Tomas officiating. Burial was in Lee Cemetery under the direction of Stucky Funeral Home. Pallbearers were grandsons: Tom Coleman, Larry Thompson, Fred Crabtree, Sammy Hall and Marvin Hall.”

Rowan Co. marriage book 5 lists James W. Hall, age 21, m. Chloe Haney, age 17, on 19 Mar 1904.

There is a group picture in the Past Lives of Rowan County book of 9 of the children of this family, captioned with their names (Floyd, Earl, Woodrow, Arthur, Bennie, Lillian, Mary Lee, Carey and Olive.) There are no dates given. It seems to have been taken in the late sixties or early seventies, and the family members look to be in their late fifties to mid-seventies.
