Notes for Aaron Quisenberry Sr.
Most data on the family of Aaron Quisenberry is from a book entitled Genealogical Memoranda of the Quisenberry Family, by Anderson Chenault Quisenberry, published in 1897.

Elza Cox, in a 6-generation Pedigree chart for Andrew Quesenberry on p. 71, Vol. 5, No. 3, May 1991, Cox-Phillips Newsletter, lists this Aaron as the father of George Quesenberry who founded the Carroll County branch. But Aaron's son George is well-documented in Orange and King George Co., and is too young to be our George.

IGI batch 7826203, p. 46, film 1126396, lists Aaron Quisenberry b. 1735 to Thomas Quisenberry & __ Rawlings in Caroline Co., VA. That date is plainly inconsistent with the birthdates of Aaron's children, for example Aaron Jr. b. ca 1742-1748.
Census
The first census of the United States, which in Orange Co., Virginia was taken in 1782, lists in the district enumerated by William Moore, a household headed by Aaron Quisenberry Sr., containing 4 whites and 14 blacks. (The four are apparently Aaron and his second wife Joyce, and his daughters Mary and Elizabeth, who did not marry until 1787 and 1788, respectively. George was already in Goochland Co., and the other sons had households of their own in Orange Co.)
