Notes for Benjamin Sexton Jr.
I do not really know which children of Benjamin’s belong to which mother, since I do not have a date for his marriage to Rhoda Griffith, nor a death date for Nancy. I am tentatively assuming that the five year gap between the births of Judy (about 1816) and James Henry (about 1821) is when the marriage to Rhoda occurred, but it could easily be wrong.
Census
1820 census of Bath Co., Ky, p. 206, line 25, lists:
Benjamin Sexton Jr., 2 m < 10, 2 m 10-14, 1 m 26-44, 3 f < 10, 2 f 26-44.

The two males under 10 would be William and Benjamin. One of the two males 10-14 would be Obediah. The other is either Stephen (although I suspect he is not really their son; see his notes for discussion), or an unidentified son.

1830 census of Bath Co., Ky, lists on p. 207, line 12:
Benjamin Sexton, 1 male 5-9, 1 male 10-14, 1 male 20-29, 1 male 40-49, 2 females < 5, 1 female 5-9, 2 females 10-14, 1 female 15-19, 1 female 40-49.

The male 20-29 and the female 15-19 would be Obediah and his wife Mary M. Davis, who were married in 1829 and had not yet set up their own household. Note that the household contains 2 young girls born between 1825 and 1830 whom I have not identified. Some of them may be granddaughters rather than daughters, though. It is possible that Benjamin’s oldest son died young and that Benjamin and Nancy raised their children.

1840 census of Bath Co., Ky, east of Slate Creek, lists on p. 63, line 3:
Benjamin Sexton, 1 male 15-19, 1 male 20-29, 1 male 50-59, 2 females 10-14, 1 female 15-19, 1 female 50-59.

1850 census of Bath Co., Ky, taken 13 Aug, lists on p. 33 as family #434:
Benjamin Sexton, 63, farmer, Va; Rhody, 64, Ky; Maria, 23, Ky; Preston, 16, laborer.
(I am not entering Maria and Preston as their children at this time, because they may be grandchildren.)

1860 census of Bath Co., Ky, lists as family #813:
Benjamin Sexton, 77, farmer, Va; Roda, 74, Pa; Mary, 32, Ky.
Census Notes for Rhoda Ann Griffith
1870 census of Bath Co., Ky, White Sulphur Springs district, household #125, lists Rody Sexton, age 81, as a boarder with the family of Mary Lowry age 56.

(Mary is the widow of Caleb/Carey Lowry, and the daughter of Benjamin Sexton, most likely by his first wife Nancy Taylor.)
