The birthplace is very likely incorrect, since his parents were listed in Rowan Co. in both the 1860 and 1870 censuses.

Notes for Ann Eliza “Annie” Caskey
She was recorded in the 1870 census as Ann E. age 7, in the 1880 census as Ann age 18, and in 1900 as Annie, age 37, born Dec 1862.
Her gravestone, a double one with John, has the name Anna E. Pelfrey, with the dates Dec. 3, 1863 to July 24, 1909.
The birth date on the stone is probably wrong, though. Her brother Castle’s birthdate was recorded as 26 Dec 1863 on his death certificate, and it is very unlikely that they were twins, because in both the 1870 and 1880 censuses where they appear together as children, Ann Eliza was reported as older than Castle Jr. (In 1870 Castle was reported as 6, and in 1880 he was reported as age 16.)
I think it is most likely that she was born in Dec 1861, because the birth spacing fits better. Exactly a year between children is rather tight. But Dec 1862 is consistent with more of the census records.
