Her obituary in the Portsmouth Times of Tues, Sep 7, 1976 reported:

“MINFORD - Mrs. Sabra Adkins, 73, of Oliver Rd., Minford Rt. 2, died Monday at 3:05 a.m. at Scioto Memorial Hospital in Portsmouth.

A native of Elliott County, Ky., and a 60-year resident of Scioto County, she attended Mount Carmel Church.

Her husband, George W. Adkins, died in 1973.

Surviving are four sons, Walt and Carl, both of Lucasville Rt 4, Clyde of Chillicothe and Robert of Lucasville Rt. 3; seven daughters, Mrs. Thelma McManus of Lucasville, Mrs. Gladys Harrington of Baltimore, Md., Mrs. Jean Burleson of New Windsor, Md., Mrs. Lahoma Williamson of Waterford, Mrs. Wilma Bales of Columbus, Mrs. Wanda Fisher of Minford Rt. 2 and Mrs. Judy Rutherford of Coloma, Mich, and 20 grandchildren.

Services are to be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Erwin-Dodson Funeral Home here with Rev. Julius Chandler officiating. Interment is to be in Wheeler Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 4 to 10 p.m. today and from 10 a.m. until the funeral hour Wednesday.”
