Notes for Lula F. Jones
Her obituary in the Morehead News reads “Lula Jones Crawford, 85, of 165 Triangle Tower Road, Clearfield, died Monday, June 15 at her home. She was born Oct. 27, 1906 at Rowan County and was the daughter of the late Martin and Sarah Debord Jones. A member of the Slab Camp Christian Church, she was preceded in death by her husband, William McKinley “Willie” Crawford. Surviving are three sons, Murvil Crawford and Clella Crawford of Mansfield, Ohio and Clarence Crawford of Clearfield; four daughters, Clara Hill of Winter Haven, Fla., Lucille Trent of Kissimmee, Fla.; Iva Lee Shelton and Rose Zell Perkins, both of Clearfield. Also surviving are a brother, Charlie Jones of Morgantown, N.C., 19 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. Three sons, Clayton, Wayne and Clinton Crawford, preceded her in death.”
