Be careful not to confuse him with his cousin James Henry Kegley (1857-1914), son of William Henry and Sophia Grubb, who married Chloe Susan Cox.
His death certificate records James Kegley, age 92, birthdate blank, died 10 June 1948 in Elliott Co., Ky, widowed, father Oscar Kegley, mother’s maiden name Nancy Fry, both born in Va, cause of death “no doctor attended, family said he had cold and just weakened away”, informant Dixie Gray, Newfoundland, Ky, burial in home cemetery.

According to his death certificate, Delmas is male, and is a son of Liddie, not of James and Mary Ellen.
