“Robert M. Isenhart, RR 13, died Saturday in Ball Hospital following a long illness.

A Jay County native, he attended schools in Hartford City and Muncie, spending most of his life in this area. He served in the Air Force for more than 13 years. Mr. Isenhart was employed with Westinghouse Corp. for several years.

Survivors include his wife, Maxine; two daughters, Debra M. Fields and Doris M. Ledford, both of Columbus, Ohio; a son, Robert M. Isenhart Jr., Muncie; five stepsons, Jimmy Tapley, Bill Wallace, Bob Wallace, Tim Wallace and James Wallace, all of Muncie; a stepdaughter, Theresa Parkinson, Muncie; two brothers, George Isenhart, Eaton, and Donald Isenhart, Muncie; five sisters, Violet Musick, Esther Wise and Marjorie Isenhart, all of Muncie, Deloris Livingood, Hillsboro, and Eliza Norris, Attica; 19 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday in Meeks Mortuary Chapel. Burial will be in Elm Ridge Cemetery.”

Her obituary as posted on FindaGrave.com reported:

“Marie I. Isenhart, 47, 5807 E. Jackson, died Sunday.

She was born in Morehead, Ky., came to Muncie at an early age and later lived in Ridgeville. She returned to the Muncie area in 1978.

Mrs. Isenhart had been employed with Westinghouse Electric Co. in Union City for the past 15 years. She was a member of the Church of the Living God in Dunkirk.

Surviving are her husband, Robert M. Isenhart, Sr.; two daughters, Debra Maxwell and Doris Marie Hall, both of Dunkirk; a son, Robert M. Isenhart Jr., Dunkirk; her mother, Mrs. H. W. Hall, Farmland; one sister, Anita Chapman, Houston, Texas; four brothers, H. W. Hall Jr., Selma, Milton P. Hall, Kenosha, Wis., James L. Hall, Middletown, Ohio, and Arthur A. Hall, Muncie; and five grandchildren.

Services will be at Meeks Mortuary at 11:30 a.m. Thursday with the Rev. Treva VanSkyock officiating. Burial will follow in Elm Ridge Cemetery.”

Her name on the gravestone, a double one with Robert, is inscribed as Ila Marie Isenhart.
