Her obituary in the Mansfield News Journal of 11 Feb 2001 reported “Nora Peyton Foster Cyr, 85, died Friday evening February 9, 2001, at Mifflin Care Center after a long illness. Mrs. Cyr was born April 8 1915 in West Liberty, Kentucky, living in the Mansfield area most of her adult life. She was employed at Westingtonhouse Corporation, Dominion, and Independent Towel. She attended The Christian Life Center and was Past President of the American Legion Auxiliary In Sun Valley, California.

She is survived by two sons and daughter-in-law John and Helen Foster and Jerry Foster, all af Mansfield, Ohio; a daughter, Helen Gilmore of Riverside, California; three sisters Lena Couch of Toledo, Elizabeth Stanley of Las Vegas and Marie Peyton of Hillsboro, Ohio; 10 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren, and a special aunt Treva Stamper.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jerry M. and Stella Stacy Peyton; two husbands, Blaine Foster and Milton Cyr; a son Raymond Foster, and one great-grandchild Cody Foster.

Friends may call at the downtown chapel of Werner Funeral Home on Monday from 4-8 P.M. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 13, 2001 at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home, conducted by the Reverend Mark A. Myer. Burial will follow in Mansfield Cemetery.”
