Notes for Milton “Mick” Rose
Milton’s name is on a double stone in Lee Cemetery with Rosa, with the birth year 1873, but there is no death year on it. Since she died so young, most likely he remarried and is buried elsewhere, with the inscription having been made at the time Rosa died.

Her death certificate records Rosa Rose, age 37, born 21 May 1883 in Rowan Co., Ky, died 18 Oct 1919 in Morehead, Rowan Co., Ky, married, father Gorden Kegley, born in Carter Co., Ky, mother’s maiden name Catherine Fults, born in Greenup Co., Ky, cause of death an acute indigestion and heart disease only lived one hour, informant blank, burial in Lee Cemetery.

The 1900 census, though, listed her as age 14, born June 1885.
