Milton’s name is on a double stone in Lee Cemetery with Rosa, with the birth year 1873, but there is no death year on it. Since she died so young, most likely he remarried and is buried elsewhere, with the inscription having been made at the time Rosa died.

Rowan Co., Ky marriage book 4, p. 629, records the marriage on 10 Jan 1904 of Milton Rose, age 27, lumber inspector, residence Rodburn, born in and both parents born in Lewis Co., his first marriage, to Eva Peck, age 20, residence Rodburn, born in and father born in Lawrence Co., mother born in Magoffin Co., her second marriage. The marriage was performed at Rodburn by R. B. Neal, witnesses Jesse Wheatley and D. S. Shultz.

In the 1910 census, Milton is recorded as divorced.
