Notes for Samuel Washington Brown
The “One World Tree” lists the Samuel W. Brown who married Cynthia Nickell as the son of James Wallace Brown and Nancy Auxier, with the dates 12 July 1819 to 3 Oct 1888. It is possible, but it would be a squeeze to fit him in to the child list unless he is a twin of their son Harvey.
Notes for Samuel Washington & Cynthia Ann (Family)
Morgan Co., Ky marriage records list the marriage of Samuel Brown and Cynthia Ann Nickell on 30 June 1840 by John Williams.

So far as I know, I am not related to this Brown family. They are in my database because I do have a Brown line in Morgan Co. (descendants of my 5G grandfather James Brown 1783-1850), so I like to keep track of all the Brown families in the area in order to be able to tell which are mine and which aren’t.
Census
1850 census of Morgan Co., Ky, enumerated 13 Sep, lists on p. 121 as family #790:
Samuel W. Brown, 30, farmer; Cyntha, 29; James, 8; Martha, (age looks like 15 with the 1 smeared, but is probably meant to be 5); William, 4; John, 3; Daniel, 2/12. All born in Ky.

1860 census of Morgan Co., Ky, district 1, West Liberty P.O, enumerated 4 July, lists on p. 47 as family #284/281:
Samuel W. Brown, 40, farmer; Cyntha, 40; James W., 18; Rebecca, 19; William, 16; John F., 14; Daniel B., 11; Angeline, 7; Louisa J., 3; Harvey B., 1; Crocket Cooper, 18, laborer. All born in Kentucky.

(Rebecca is James’ wife, not a daughter of Samuel and Cynthia.)

1870 census of Morgan Co., Ky, River precinct, enumerated 7 July, lists on p. 6 as family #40:
Brown, Saml W., farmer, 51; Cyntha A., 50; Daniel B., 20; Angeline, 17; Louisa J., 15; Harvey B., 11; Jeff Davis, 9; Mary E., 5; Cooper, Martha A., 25; Little, William, 21, farm laborer; Higginbotham, Jack, 40, farm laborer. All born in Kentucky.

1880 census of Morgan Co., Ky, River precinct, enumerated 9 June, lists on p. 10 as family #89:
Brown, S. W., 60, farmer; Cynthian, 60, wife; James H., 21, son; Jeff D., 18, son; Lacy, Myranda L., 15, servant. All born Ky Ky Ky.

The son James H. age 21 seems odd. The age fits for the son listed as Harvey B in 1860 and 1870, and Samuel and Cynthia had a son James Wallace born about 1842, so it is unlikely that Harvey would also be known as James. Either this is Harvey with his name entered wrong, or it is actually a grandson.

The preceding household is that of their son Daniel, and the following one is that of their son John.
