Notes for Thomas Jefferson Parsons
His WW I draft registration card, filed 12 Sep 1918, records Thomas Jefferson Parsons, age 44, residence Monaville, Logan Co., W. Va, born 5 Sep 1874, occupation machine runner, employer Logan Mining Co., nearest relative Martha Parsons, same address.

His death certificate records Thomas Jefferson Parsons, age 67 years 29 days, born 18 Mar 1872 in Wayne Co., West Virginia, died 16 Apr 1939 at St. Francis Hospital in Columbus, Franklin Co., Ohio, residence Betsey Lane, Ky, widower of Martha Parsons, father Albert Parsons, mother’s maiden name Cynthia Hobbs, both born in W Va, cause of death carcinoma of prostate with metastasis to bones and lungs, informant James A. Parsons, burial in Glen Rest.

The year of birth is probably incorrect. He was recorded in the 1880 census as age 5, in the 1900 census as age 25 born in Feb 1875, and on his WW I draft card as born 5 Sep 1874 (there were not two Thomas J. Parsons of that generation in West Virginia.) It is probably that his family simply did not keep track of his birthdate.
Notes for Martha Ann Fraley
Her death certificate records Martha Ann Parsons, age 59 years 2 months 8 days, born 18 Oct 1874 in Wayne Co., W. Va, died 26 Dec 1933 at Franklin County Infirmary in Marion township, Franklin Co., Ohio, usual residence 659 W. Rich St., widow of Tom Parsons, father James Fraley, mother’s maiden name Rosa Raines, both born in W. Va, cause of death chronic pellagra, informant James Parsons, 659 W. Rich St., burial in Green Lawn.

Since Thomas outlived her, the marital status should probably be divorced instead of widowed.

The age may be very incorrect. The only match I can find in the West Virginia censuses is Martha A. Fraley born about 1866 or 1867 in Wayne Co., West Virginia, daughter of James M. Fraley and Rosa/Rosanna Clay. The mother’s maiden name does not match, but perhaps Rosa remarried to a Raines after James Fraley died, and her grandson James Parsons entered her by the name he knew her by instead of her maiden name. (James Fraley died sometime between the 1880 census and the 1900 one.)
