His obituary in the Morehead News reported “Orbie Newton Hall, 88, of Leasure Lane, Morehead, died Monday, Nov. 7 [1994] at the St. Claire Medical Center in Morehead. He was born April 6, 1906 in Rowan County to the late Frank Hall and Molly Cox Hall. He was a former lumberman and farmer. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by the First Church of God Tabernacle in Morehead. [The preceding sentence was as printed in the newspaper. Apparently at least one line is missing, possibly two.] Surviving are his wife, Icey Foster Hall; a son, Denzil Ray Hall of Morehead; two daughters, Victorine Riley of Clearfield and Delores Jones of Fairborn, Ohio; twelve grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were scheduled for Nov. 9 at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals in Morehead, officiated by the Rev. Max Molihan with burial at the New Alfrey Cemetery. Pallbearers were Gary Cecil, Bruce Cecil, Chuck Hall, Denzil Ray Hall, Jerry Jones, Cliff Lewis, Mike Webb, Scott Leach and Jason Hall.”

A. Alfrey, minister of the Baptist church, witnesses Amos Donohue and Maggie Donohue.
