The 1950 obituary of William Alexander Jones, Mary Ann’s son by Joseph Jones, listed a surviving half-brother John Snedegar of Salt Lick.
His death certificate records John Elsbery Snedegar, age 82, born 28 Dec 1868 in Ky, died 16 Jan 1951 in Owingsville, Bath Co., Ky, married, farmer, father Whitt Snedegar, mother’s maiden name Mary Robinson, cause of death bronchial pneumonia, informant Mrs. J. R. Turner, burial in Old Virginia graveyard.

1910 census of Bath Co., Ky, enumerated 4 May, lists on p. 11B as family #234:
Snedegar, John, 40, 3rd marriage, married 11 years; farm laborer; Lide, wife, 28, first marriage, married 11 years, mother of 0 children, 0 living. Both born Ky Ky Ky.
“Lide” must be a misunderstanding of “Lizie”, judging by the number of years married.
