Notes for Alexander Patton
The Alex Patton family bible107 contains as the first entry on the births list “Alexander Patten was bornd Sp the 4 1863”

His death certificate records Elik Patton, age 65 years 10 months 14 days, born 4 Sep 1871 in Rowan Co., died 18 July 1927 in Morehead, Rowan Co., Ky, married, occupation oil man, father Charlie Patton, born in West Virginia, mother’s maiden name Nancie Million, birth place don’t know, cause of death train struck automobile - killed instantly, informant Mrs. Steve Caudill, burial in Lee Cemetery, Morehead, Ky.

The reported birthdate conflicts with that on his gravestone and the family bible.
Notes for Nannie Bell Turner
The Alex Patton family bible107 contains as the second entry on the births page: “his wife Nanie B. Patton Was bornd Ag the 11 1880”

The Ohio deaths database lists Nannie B. Thomas, age 92, died 13 June 1973 in Richland Co., Ohio, widowed.

Identification as a daughter of William C. Turner and Sarah Morris is based on the fact that Nannie’s family bible107 (see linked source for page images) records Sarah’s death, as “Sally Turner Dec Jan 25, 1923, age 64”. It also records the deaths of Howard M. Turner on 7 Aug 1960, and of Georgia (Howerton) Markwell, daughter of Sadie Turner and John Howerton on 5 Mar 1961. Howard and Sadie are both children of William C. Turner and Sarah Morris. With three deaths from that family recorded in the bible, and none from any other Turner family, she must be their daughter Nannie, even though the 1900 census records her as still single.
