Census
1910 census of Bath Co., Ky, district 4, enumerated 22 April, lists on pp. 9A-9B as family #191/206:
Highley, James, 52, farmer; Mary E., wife, 44, first marriage for both, married 29 years, mother of 3 children, 3 living; Wildy, head, 19, single; Clara L., dau, 11; Doccie A., mother, 85, widowed.

Presumably the relationship was given incorrectly for Wildy, and he should be listed as a son.
Notes for Sarah Lola Vanlandingham
Her death certificate records Sarah Lola Highley, age 23, born Sep 1889 in Bath Co., Ky, married, father Allen Spence, mother’s maiden name Sarah Vanlandingham, both born in Bath Co., Ky, cause of death peurperal convulsions, informant Mrs. Vanlandingham, Moores Ferry, burial in Hedricks.

I cannot find a good match for her in the 1900 census, as either Spence or Vanlandingham. One possibility is that she is the Sarah Vanlandingham listed in the 1900 census as born Dec 1890, daughter of Jerry Vanlandingham and Sarah Elizabeth Spence. If so, Sarah Vanlandingham would not be her mother’s maiden name, but rather her mother’s married name, and Allen Spence would be her maternal grandfather, not her father. (Wildy Highley was recorded in the 1910 census as 7 households before the Jerry Vanlandingham family.)
