Stanley’s mother died two days after his birth. He was raised by his father’s mother and her second husband Greenberry Myers, and took their name. (I do not know if he was formally adopted or not.)
The SSDI lists Stanley O. Myers, born 13 Feb 1913, died 6 Oct 2000, last residence Gainesville, Alachua Co., Florida, SSN issued in Kentucky before 1951.
