I have seen her listed in family trees as a daughter of Reuben Staton, and also as a daughter of Samuel Staton and his first wife. Samuel seems more likely, though, since Reuben Staton was in Sangamon Co. by 1830, possibly as early as 1820, and Rebecca would have been at most 14 in 1830, rather young to be left behind if her parents were moving.
