Census Notes for Reuben Staton
1810 census of Montgomery Co., Kentucky, :
1 m 26-44, 1 m < 10; 1 f 26-44, 1 f 10-15, 3 f < 10.

I have not found this family in 1820. (There was a Reuben Staton in Adair Co., Ky, but it is not the same one, because that family was recorded in Adair Co in both 1810 and 1830, when this one is elsewhere.)

1830 census of Sangomon Co., Illinois, lists on p. 34, line 25:
Reuben Slaten, 1 m 40-49, 1 m 15-19, 1 m 10-14; 1 f 40-49, 1 f 10-14, 1 f 5-9.
Notes for Reuben & Susan (Family)
Bath County Kentucky marriage bonds on LDS Microfilm 272003 (no page numbers, each bond is a separate sheet of paper, folded and bundled together), include a bond dated August 13, 1813 for Reuben Staton and Susan Hall. John Pervice provided surety, and swore that Susan was a widow. There is no mention of her late husband’s given name or her maiden name, but John Purvis was probably either her brother or her brother-in-law.
