The reported age at death implies a birthdate of 25 Feb 1870. He was listed in the 1870 census as age 2 months, born in March, and in the 1900 census as age 30, born Mar 1870. So they may have made an error of one month in calculating his age at death.

The first name of their son, which I’ve transcribed as Arvie, is hard to read; Ancestry.com has indexed it as Anie, and it could also be Arie or Avie. (Arnie would make the most sense, but it doesn’t have enough humps.) I suspect his first name was Arvil. His death certificate says only Othal, though.
