Notes for Isaac C. Fanning
His gravestone, which was originally in the old Alfrey Cemetery in Rowan Co., was moved to the Bath County Memorial Gardens when the Licking River was dammed to create Cave Run Lake. It is inscribed with the name “Isaac C. Fanning”, although many online family trees record his middle name as Aaron.
