S. A. Day, 41, farmer; Maranda, 23; Eliza, 13; Elizabeth, 10; William, 8; Lewis P. R., 6; Margaret F., 3; Jonathan, 2; Mary Ellen, 2/12. All born in Kentucky.

The four older children are from Squire’s first marriage, to Margaret Foster.

1860 census of Fleming Co., Ky, district 1, Elizaville P.O., enumerated 20 July, lists on p. 76 as family #568/511:
S. A. Day, 51, farmer; Maranda, 32; Louis, 15, clerk in store; Margarett, 13; Jonathan, 12; Dianna, 8; Alford, 6; Buchanan, 4; Virginia, 2; A. F. Day, 24.

A. F. Day is Alfred Foster Day, the son of Squire’s brother Alvin G. Day and Priscilla Foster, who was the sister of Squire’s first wife Margaret Foster. Squire’s son William by his first marriage is two households above, listed as age 19 with wife Mehaley.

Alford age 6 was later known as Squire Alvin, but I do not know if it was a name change or a recording error.

1870 census of Fleming Co., Ky, Hillsboro precinct, (page undated), lists on p. 3 as family #16:

1880 census of Fleming Co., Ky, Hillsboro precinct, enumerated 11 June, lists on p. 16 as family #140/142:
Day, Squire A., 72, farmer, b. Ky Va Va; Maranda, 52, wife, b. Ky Va Va; Hiram V., 16, son, b. Ky Ky Ky; Humphrey A., 13, son, b. Ky Ky Ky.

The preceding household is headed by their son James B., listed as age 23 with wife Mattie W. age 20.
