The Kentucky death index lists Clarence B. Pittman, age 78, died 15 July 1958 in Perry Co., residence same.

I am not really sure that Anna is the daughter of Charles Wallace or that her maiden name is Wallace. She may be Emma’s daughter by a previous marriage. I cannot locate Charles and Emma as a couple in the 1900 or 1910 censuses. The birth index for Hattie is no help, because it erroneously gives Anna’s maiden name as Pittman.

Peterman, Clarence, 47, age at first marriage 32, b. Ga Ga Ga, laborer in coal mines; Anna, wife, 32, age at first marriage 13, b. Ky Va Ky; Hattie, dau, 6, b. Ky Ga Ky; Charles, father-in-law, 53, age at first marriage 22, b. Va Va Va, laborer at coal mines; Emma, mother-in-law, 55, age at first marriage 24, b. b. Ky Ky England.

I don’t know where Emma gets the “England” from. Her mother Rhoda Sexton was born in Kentucky.
