His death certificate records James Fults, age about 39, birthdate unknown, born in Ky, died 8 Oct 1930 in Rowan Co., Ky, married, husband of Vesta Fults, occupation miner, parents unknown, cause of death killed instantly by slate fall in clay mines, informant Vesta Fults, Vale, Ky, burial in Bryant Cem.

His gravestone in Bryant-Goodman Cemetery has his birthdate as 18 Mar 1895, and spells his name as Fultz.

I have not been able to identify him in the 1900 census.

Her death certificate records Vesta Welch, age 50 years 9 months 19 days, born 3 July 1897 in Elliott Co., Ky, died 25 Apr 1948 in Columbus, Franklin Co., Ohio, married, wife of Ata G. Welch, age 67, father John Goodman, mother’s maiden name Martha Byrant, both born in Ky, cause of death chronic myocarditis, informant H. H. Defenbaugh, Circleville, Ohio, burial in Moorehead, Ky.

Her gravestone has her name as Sarah Vesta Goodman Welch, and the epitaph “A tender mother and a faithful friend”. (Hers is the only Welch burial in Brown Cemetery.)
