Notes for John & Elizabeth “Betty” (Family)
Rowan Co., Ky marriage book 4, p. 583, records the marriage on 28 Nov 1903 of John Moore, age 21, farmer, residence Farmers, born in Rowan Co., father born in Va, mother born in Knott Co., to Elizabeth Tackett, age 15, residence Triplett, born in and mother born in Pike Co., Ky, to be at bride’s home, at George Hall’s by Jas E. Stewart, witnesses Geo Hall and Alley Hall.

This would be the George W. Hall from Pike Co. whose first wife was Elizabeth Tackett and whose second wife was Mary Alice “Allie” Osborn. Betty is most likely a niece, and perhaps namesake, of his first wife.
