His obituary at the Fisher Funeral Chapel web site reported:

“Ronald Lee "Ron" Brown, 70, of Lafayette, passed away at 4:25 a.m. Monday, August 8, 2011, at Rosewalk Village.

Born June 9, 1941, in Logansport, he was the son of the late John J. and Lena Utterback Brown. In 1956, he was married to Gloria Jones. They later divorced. In 1989, he was married to Margaret Davis. They later divorced.

For 35 years, Ron had worked in the section gang with Norfolk & Western Railroad. He had also been engaged in farming.

A member of the Eagles and the 40 et 8, Ron enjoyed Bingo, euchre and bowling.

Surviving are one son, R.W. Brown, of Lafayette; three sisters, Eulah Jaynes, of Crawfordsville, Betty (Gordon) Flickinger, of Lafayette, and Patty (Butch) Barnhart, of Rensselaer; one brother William J. (June) Brown, of Lafayette; three step-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and nine brothers and sisters.”
