Her obituary reported:

“Ms. Anne Quessenberry passed away Monday, May 7, 2012, in Memphis, Tennessee, after a brief illness.

Anne was born April 23, 1025, the daughter of the late Maurice and Clarah Smith of Birdeye,AR. Anne was the youngest of four siblings who grew up and made their homes in Birdeye throughout their lives. She attended St. Agnes School in Memphis, Stephens College, and the University of Arkansas.

She is preceaded in death by her husband, James Harrell Quessenberry and her son, James Harrell Quessenberry, Jr.

She is survived by daughters, Rebecca Q. Farmer and husband James D. of Sikeston, Missouri and Beth Q. Renfro of Olive Branch, Mississippi; seven grandchildren, seven great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews who loved her dearly. She will be greatly missed.

A memorial service was held at Cogbill Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were by Kernodle Funeral Home.”
