Notes for Lucy Ann Ramey
Lucy is buried under a double stone with her son Brillian, inscribed “Mother, Lucy Ann Stamper, 1890 - 1958”. (The birth year is off by three, but it was what she was reporting in the later censuses.)
Census Notes for Hiram Wiley & Lucy Ann (Family)
1920 census of Rowan Co., Kentucky, Hogtown precinct, enumerated 24 Jan, lists on p. 13A as family #239/243:
Stamper, Wiley, 60, farmer; Lucy, wife, 30; Brillian, son, 4. All born Ky Ky Ky.

1930 census of Rowan Co., Kentucky, Farmers precinct, enumerated 12 April, lists on p. 2A as family #94/95:
Ramey, Jeff, 36, farmer, single; Jerry, brother, 44, widowed, age at first marriage 30, occupation none; Lucy, sister, 42, widowed, age at first marriage 22; Brilliant, nephew, 14; Clifford, nephew, 12. All born Ky Ky Ky.

Clifford is probably not Lucy’s son ; he does not appear with her and Wiley in the 1920 census. His age may also be off by quite a lot; in the 1940 census, he is recorded with Jeff Ramey as Clifford Ramey, nephew, age 28. One possibility is that he is the Howard Ramey age 8 listed as a grandson with Thomas and Artie in the 1920 census, and that he is a son of Jerry.

1940 census of Carter Co., Ky, ED 22-4, enumerated 10 April, lists on p.4A as family #53:
Stamper, Brillian, 24; Thelma, wife, 18; Wiley, son, 1; Lucy, mother, 51, widowed. All born in Kentucky, living in same place in 1935.
