She is probably the Sarah Cock age 28 recorded with her brother Reuben in the 1870 census.

1870 census of Morgan Co., Ky, Hamptons Mill precinct, enumerated 10 July, lists on p. 4 as family #22:
Cock, Reuben, 35, farmer, b. Va; Cyntha A., 33, b. Ky; Hannah B., 9; James F., 7; Sarah J., 5; Sarah, 28, b. Va. All children born in Ky.

Census
1880 census of Morgan Co., Ky, Hamptons Mill district 87, enumerated in June, lists on p. 4 as family #28:
Goodpaster, John, 28, laborer; Sarah, 58* (see note below), mother, widowed; Lucy A., 30, sister, single. All born in Kentucky.

Sarah is really John’s stepmother. Her age was originally entered as 38, and then “corrected”: in darker ink to 58, presumably because the census taker figured 38 was too young to be John’s mother, but really the original age was correct and the relationship wrong.
