Census Notes for Noah & Dicey (Family)
1850 census of Russell Co., Virginia, district 54, enumerated 31 Aug, lists on p. 89 as family #590:
Noah Kizer, 43, farmer; Dicy, 38; Hugh T., 20; Abednego, 18; Martha, 16; Francis M. (male), 14; Margaret, 12; Mary, 10; Frances (fem), 9; Malissa, 7; Fullen (male), 6; Jefferson, 4; James, 2; Biddy, 6/12. All born in Virginia.

1860 census of Russell Co., Virginia, Lebanon P.O., enumerated 26 July, lists on p. 62 as family #404:
Noah Kiser, 52, farmer; Dicey, 48; Melissa H., 18; Andy F. H., 15, farm laborer; Jefferson, 13; James, 12; Bridgett, 10; David A., 6; Dale C., 4; Joseph, 2. All born in Virginia.

The son recorded here as Andy F. H. is presumably the one recorded as Fullen in 1850.

The next household is headed by Noah’s brother Elihu Kiser age 50, who also had a son named Jefferson and a son named Abednego. The one after Elihu is headed by Noah’s son Abednego.
Partial Family Warning
This is not a complete family group. They are entered into my database only to document the distinction between their son Thomas Jefferson Kiser and their grandson Thomas B. Kiser (son of Abednego), because both ended up in Carter Co., Kentucky, and many researchers have confused the two, attaching the grandson’s death record to the son, or the son’s wife Sarah E. Fultz to the grandson. (This happens mainly because of Ancestry.com’s “hint” feature, which can be very helpful if you examine the context of every suggested record closely, but way too many researchers just assume that every hint is for the same person.)

Their son Thomas Jefferson Kiser is in my database in turn because his son Elijah “Eli” Kiser was the first husband of Maggie Campbell, who married as her second husband (and his second wife) my great great uncle Lawson Quesinberry.
