DAVIS: I am primarily looking for information on the Davis family. My GGG Grandfather, Jarrett Davis was born in 1808 in Fleming Co. His parents, William Davis and Rachel Barnes, were married in Fleming Co in 1805. They may have had as many as 8 children. William and Jarrett moved to Missouri in 1831. William died in St. Louis, MO in August of 1832. Nancy died a few years later, also in St. Louis. Jarrett married a Nancy Welch in Warren Co. Missouri; Nancy and her father, John Welch were born in KY, co unknown.

I believe William Davis (Jarrett's father) was the son of Jesse Davis and Elizabeth Hougham. William appears to also be from a family of 8 children born in KY. I am unsure of the Co, but I show William and Jesse in Fleming Co in the 1820 and 1830 Census records.

Jesse's parents appear to be a Thomas Davis and ? Breeding. Jesse lived in Fleming Co, until 1 year before his death where he removed to and is buried in Rowan Co. Jesse served in the RW as a pvt from VA.

I am looking primarily for anyone who might have a tie into my Davis family. I am looking for birth/death information on the siblings of my Davis' as well as any information on the spouses, or descendants of these Davis'
