Census
1810 Census of Botetourt Co., VA, lists on p. 623:
Frantz, Christn Jr & Geo Grisso (names on two lines, with Geo Grisso indented, and a curly brace connecting them, then one line of data):
M: 2 < 10, 1 16-25, 2 > 44; F: 1 < 10, 2 10-15, 4 16-25, 1 > 44
Although known later in life as Christian Frantz Sr. to distinguish him from his son, in 1810 he was called Christian Frantz Jr. to distinguish him from Christian Frantz b. 1740, his second cousin, who was also in the same community. The two boys under 10 would be Christian Frantz age 5, and the infant Christian Grisso. George Grisso was 27 and Jacob Frantz had just turned 26; they should both have been in the 26-44 bracket, but it appears that Jacob was counted as 25 and George was put in the 45-and-up bracket with Christian. The ages for the females fit for Christian's daughters and his wife.)
